The purpose of legalization is to certify the authenticity of the notary’s signature and seal.
Legalization may be necessary, particularly for the issuance of certified / notarized documents (signature certification, certified copy, etc.) by the notary in certain foreign countries.
In order to be legalized, public documents and private deeds must be written in French or, if not, accompanied by a French translation performed by a sworn translator accredited by the Court of Appeal of Paris.
For businesses and professionals unable to visit our offices and/or for operations requiring one or more legalizations following a business meeting, a staff member of the Office can travel to carry out the necessary formalities.
This service is charged based on the procedures to be completed (Rates available upon request – Contact us).
