In the context of forming a company, the public notary is one of the few legal professionals authorized to receive the contributions made to the company in formation by the future partners.
The public notary certifies the receipt of the contributions by issuing a share capital deposit certificate (“certificat du dépositaire”), enabling the future partners to register the company with the registry of the commercial court.
